We are hiring a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner / PMHNP to join an outpatient mental health practice in Wake Forest, NC.
This role is ideal for a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, PMHNP-BC, Psychiatric NP, or Behavioral Health Nurse Practitioner who enjoys outpatient medication management, psychiatric evaluations, and working closely with a collaborative therapy team.
The Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner will provide psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, medication management, and ongoing care coordination for children, adolescents, and adults. This role also offers the opportunity to train in and support Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation / TMS Therapy, an innovative treatment option for depression and related conditions.
Responsibilities:
Provide psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments Treat a range of mental health conditions across child, adolescent, and adult populations Provide outpatient medication management and follow-up care Develop individualized treatment plans Collaborate with therapists, counselors, and other clinical providers Coordinate care with families, referral sources, and outside providers when appropriate Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation Support continuity of care in a patient-centered outpatient setting Participate in team collaboration and professional development Train in and provide support for TMS Therapy when appropriate Uphold strong ethical, clinical, and documentation standards
Qualifications:
Active North Carolina Nurse Practitioner license PMHNP-BC certification required Active DEA and prescriptive authority 1+ year of Nurse Practitioner experience required 2+ years of outpatient psychiatric experience preferred Experience with medication management required Comfortable working with children, adolescents, and adults Strong psychiatric assessment, communication, and documentation skills Comfortable with telehealth and electronic documentation Interest in TMS Therapy preferred Collaborative, warm, and patient-centered clinical style
